My wife and I met Caitlin on the flight home from her gig at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth last Sunday (Oct. 25th). We were on our way to spend a few days with relatives and sat next to her. We talked about her and about my niece who performs (Western Swing) around the country as well. Even though WS is probably NOT at the top of Caitlin’s favorite genres, she acted genuinely interested, and graciously listened to a couple of songs my wife shamelessly (though proudly) foisted on her from the album she has on her iPod. We also listened to several of the songs Caitlin had recorded, liked them all, but it was “flawz” that definitely made me determine to walk over and(shamelessly) ask for her autograph after we landed and were waiting for our rides outside the terminal.
This Lady’s got talent, and I can see big things continuing to happen for her. We wish her the best of luck and know she will keep it as real as she rolls.
